It's been a hot minute since I last updated and I'm starting to feel my school priority affect my blog. Sadly, there isn't much I can do to prevent this, as I'm now in my last year of my bachelor's (yikes!) and am working my butt off to do well. Don't worry though, guys, I do have a plan and I think that although I will be blogging less, I'll at least try and update once or twice a week.
The grey weather outside is making it hard to create the visual contents for the blog, so I'll come to you today with a little current mood update instead.
For the last couple of weeks, I've been trying to get back into routines. This meant waking up at around 8 AM every day, getting to school before 10-11 AM to study, as I often have 12 PM lectures on most of the days, and maybe squeeze in a workout or two. After doing this for a while now, I've realised that whenever I'm in the progress of getting used to this, a lot of other stuff gets faded out in my everyday life. I tend to go online less, meet people less and in general see the social world less.
On a side note, I do believe that going off the grid once in a while can certainly be a good thing, but I think every so often, you need to meet up with people and see how your inner circle of friends and family are doing. Social is one of the levels on Abraham Maslow's five needs of motivation, things that we strive to achieve to feel somewhat "fulfilled", so it's natural for us to tend to that social life of ours once in a while.
I'm going to return to my studies right now before drifting off to dreamland and start it all over again tomorrow, I just wanted to quickly pop in and say hi.
I hope you are all doing okay. And do you go off the grid sometimes, too? As the days get darker, I do feel it's harder to say goodbye to my bed every time I get up.
