30 BEFORE 30
It's been a while since I last wrote a personal piece on the blog, so I thought it was suitable to squeeze on in now.
I was catching up on my subscriptions tab on YouTube when I stumbled upon Lucy Moon's "My 30 Before 30 List" video. The idea is to list up 30 things you want to do or achieve before you hit the big 3-0. I love making lists, so of course, I loved the idea. I enjoyed making my "21 Things I've Learned at 21" (which you can read here) when I turned 21, so I thought I should jump on this wagon as well.
Own at least one apartment
I've always dreamed of having a place of my own, a big apartment, not a house because I've always hated living on the ground floor. Anyone else feels this, too?
Live in London for a month
If you know me, you know my undying love for London. I mean, I've had at least one trip to London each year since 2014.
Live in Paris for a month
After my last trip to Paris, my fondness for the city grew tremendously and I would love to live here and see what that would be like.
Live in New York City for a month
It's the concrete jungle where dreams are made
I was always torn between learning French or learning Spanish at school. Now, I've tried my hands on Spanish, so it's time to learn French.
It's such a beautiful language.
Treat Mom to a big trip somewhere
I've experienced so many wonderful places because of all the trips I've been able to take with my Mom.
Help Mom become debt-free
So she can live comfortably without worries.
Pay off all my student loans
I can't believe I'm almost done with my studies.
Own a dog... or three
I want a Golden Retriever, or a Corgi, or a Labrador, or all of them. Maybe a German Shepherd as well.
Have a full-time job that makes me financially stable
I don't need to become a millionaire, I just want to be able to live without having to worry in-between paychecks.
Be happy and content with my work-life
Nothing is worse than waking up each day and not do something you love
Intern in a foreign country
This kinda goes with living in another city for a month. I've never had the financials to live in another country just cause, so if I could work and experience another place at the same time, it would be great!
I mean, do I even need to go in-depth?
See the Phantom of the Opera
Learn how to make homemade pasta
Become an organ donor
Because if you can, why not?
Read all of Jane Austin's books
I've read Pride and Prejudice. I would love to read the rest of her works as well.
Read all the Sherlock Holmes books
I have "The Greatest Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" and I really need to read it.
Fill a whole journal
I love writing, and I would love to be able to look back in the future and read my past thoughts.
Read 52 books a year
I used to read a lot when I was in high school, but
Visit Italy, again
Take me back to Venice, and then a trip to Rome, please.
Santorini and Athens look so incredible. I used to love Greek Mythology and the architecture in Greece still amazes me.
I really need to visit the filming locations for Harry Potter
Marathon Harry Potter
Because the closest to a marathon I've done is watching a movie a night for a week. I want to binge all.
Re-read the Harry Potter series in English
I only read the Norwegian-translated books when I was a kid.
Visit Harry Potter World
I want my own wand.
Have my own library
With a super-comfy velvet chair and everything.
Read everything on my TBR (to-be-read) list
I have so many books I've bought and not read yet
Have a degree
If everything goes according to plan, I'll get my bachelor's degree this spring!
