MAKEUP FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day is coming up and I thought I could share this warm-toned make up look that's perfect for the occasion! I've been wearing different variants of this look as of late and find it perfect for a night out with your loved one or gal pals.

Let's get started!

Step 1: prime & base

Start off with a moisturized face. Nothing is more important than a well-moisturised base before applying any makeup on.

To make sure that your makeup stays put, apply primer on your eyelids and face.

Shake up your foundation! I’m using NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint and a beauty blender to blend it out evenly on my face. This is a light-to-medium coverage foundation, so you can layer up as you wish, or just use a smaller amount for a light coverage instead.

Step 2.a: eyeshadow

In December, I finally bought this wonderful eye palette from Colour Pop Cosmetics and I gotta say, I’m in love with the colours! The pigmentation is amazing and the colour payoff is super high, so if you want a dupe for your high-end palettes, go for Colour Pop.

This palette is called "I Think I Love You", how fitting.

I first chose a base colour for my lid. Using this Belaircolour, I applied it lightly all over my eyelids. Then, to deepen the depth a bit, I added a touch of Urban Decay's Buck.

Next, I went closer to my lash line with My Type, a reddish brown colour. Then, blended it out well before applying Howdy on the outer corner of my eyes. Again, I blended well before moving on.

Finally, to add some shimmer and pink hues to my look, I added a bit of Fancy Face on the middle part of my eyelids, before locking it in with Screw It on 1/3 of my eyelid, as well as the inner corners, to brighten up the whole look.

Step 2.b: brows

As always, I just brush my brows before filling it in a bit. Then to hold it all in place, I use Maybelline’s Brow Drama Mascara.

Step 2.c: eyeliner & mascara

To complete the eye look, I'm curling my lashes before applying a simple winged liner, using my forever favourite Stila All Day Waterproof Eye Liner. Then, I coat my lashes with Maybelline's for length and Falsies Push-Up Angel for volume.

Step 3: contour & highlights

I used Ipanema Sunset from the Becca Sunchaser palette under my cheekbones, a bit on the corners of my forehead as well as along the jawline to contour my face.

Next, I used this Maybelline MASTERchrome highlighter in Molten Gold, a good recommendation from my dearest @Gambitsky. Look at this glow. I’m obsessed!

Step 4: lips

After having them moisturised throughout the process with Vaseline, I touch up with a bit of Inglot’s AMC Lip Pencil Matte in the shade 09, so to keep the attention on the eyes.
