LET YOURSELF BE INSPIRED
I spend a lot of time surfing around YouTube and Instagram, and along the way I've conducted a list of people I truly feel inspired by. These are people who you can see really put in the effort and people who actually feel passionate about the content that they create. In my interview with Nouw (here), I mentioned that I get inspiration from many people in this business, and in an attempt to spread the love, here's my a list of 3 content creators you need to check out.
A lot of people know her, some people don't. LA-based YouTuber Claire Marshall was one of the few YouTubers out there that had monolids like I did and that was one of the reasons I loved watching her videos so much. The tutorials were kind of different and more in-depth than most I had previously seen and it didn't take long until I clicked the subscribe button. Since then, Claire has uploaded many creative video content that made her one of my favourite YouTubers as well. My personal favourites on her channel are this very personal video named Mary (here) and hey, it's me. (here). She has really beautifully edited travel vlogs as well.
Her Instagram is so aesthetically pleasing, too, and did I also mention that she has this handsome cat named Brucifer Lee?
Jenn is one of the most incredible souls out there. Other than sharing her amazing sense of style and beauty tips, she always strives to be better and focuses on growth at a personal level as well. It was thanks to her that I found Headspace and The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson. Jenn always comes off as genuine on her channel and the fact that she isn't one-dimensional really keeps my fondness for her growing.
She has managed to succeed with makeup collaborations with ColourPop and moved on to launch her very own clothing line Eggie (here). She's a woman that keeps on striving for all her ambitions and I find that so inspiring.
Ellen V Lora
Ellen V Lora is an amazing content creator. You might have seen her gracing the shelves at your local drug store on the Colorista boxes. She travels a lot and shares it all on her Instagram (here), and creates well-edited videos on her YouTube channel, too. She was well known for her beautiful lilac tresses but has since cut off her hair and dyed it to a beautiful silvery shoulder-lengthed do. I always get the vibe that Ellen always strive to do whatever she feels like. She’s truly unique.
